2020 Charity Christmas Tree's

Each year Butterfields provides a Christmas tree at both our Swinton and Kimberworth branches for people to attach cards in memory of their loved ones. We ask a small donation for each card placed and those monies are then gifted to a chosen charity.

This year our chosen charity will be in aid of the Rotherham NHS Superhero’s Campaign. https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/RotherhamNHSSuperheroes

The funds raised for this campaign are being used to purchase items and equipment from a `Wishlist’ created by the NHS colleagues at Rotherham Hospital.

These include items such as:-

• iPads (these will allow our staff and patients to stay in touch with their loved ones via video messaging.)

• Hand gel/sanitiser

• Hand cream

• Cordial/pop

• Refreshments; such a chocolate, fruit, breakfast bars, sandwiches, porridge and noodle pots, hot chocolate/tea/coffee and other healthy snacks

• PPE equipment (particularly long-sleeved plastic aprons)

• Children's activity books (pencils, crayons colouring and sticker books) and small individual toys for patients

More than ever our local NHS needs our support. The unimaginable pressure they have been and continue to be under during the Coronavirus pandemic is unprecedented and we feel that along with ourselves the rest of the local community will welcome the opportunity to offer moral, emotional and financial support to them right now and to say ”We appreciate and are grateful for the sacrifices they have made and continue to make for us all”.
