2020 Poppy Appeal

This year’s Remembrance Sunday will be commemorated by many of us in a very different way than usual due to the Pandemic.

We will still have some poppies available for sale in the Swinton and Kimberworth office’s this year but we will not be having the usual range of items that we normally have. If you happen to be in either office on other business then this is a great opportunity to pick up your poppy. We kindly request that you bring the correct amount of money you would like to donate as we will be unable to give change.

Sadly many of the Royal British Legion volunteers will not be able to supply shops and businesses with poppies and other merchandise this year due to the situation with Covid 19. However, you can still go onto their website and purchase these items, make a donation or download a poppy poster for you to display in your window.

Our support for the British Legion has always been incredibly important but even more so now with less available merchandise to physically purchase and less footfall on the streets and in the supermarkets. Buying and donating online is a great alternative and a safe way for us all to still be able to contribute in these difficult times whilst keeping ourselves safe. Also, something to bear in mind if you are considering taking out a funeral plan with us. Golden Charter is donating £25 to the Royal British Legion whenever a new plan is taken out at the moment. Please contact us if you would like to take out a plan now in order to further support the Royal British Legion.
