Baby Loss Awareness Week (BLAW) 2025

Baby Loss Awareness Week takes place annually from October 9th to 15th, and is a vital event dedicated to raising public awareness of pregnancy and infant loss. It provides a compassionate space for bereaved parents, families, and friends to remember their much-loved and missed babies.

For many, the pain of pregnancy and infant loss is an isolating and often hidden trauma. Despite its prevalence, it can be a taboo subject, leaving many to grieve in silence. The week is an opportunity to break this silence and acknowledge the depth of sorrow experienced by countless families after the death of a baby. It gives those affected a community where they can share their stories and know that they are not alone.

Once again for Baby Loss Awareness Week, we wanted to invite you to join us in lighting a candle, whilst remembering all the precious little lives that have been lost. We have a memorial tree to invite all families to come to our Swinton branch to light a candle in memory of a child that you have sadly lost. Please message us if you are unable to attend and we will light a candle on their behalf. 🩷💙
