Coffee, Cake and Chat for Charity
Coffee, Cake and Chat in aid of Charity
Many of us know someone living with cancer and we know the devastating effect it can have on the lives of the sufferer and their family.
Macmillan Cancer Support is a national charity who support cancer patients in many ways… with hands on nursing care, information and advice and also grants to those suffering financial hardship due to their cancer diagnosis and treatment.
As funeral directors we come into contact with many families who’s lives have been touched by cancer and we want to do our bit to help.
So this year on Friday September the 29th we will be holding a ‘Let’s Do Coffee Event’ Macmillan Coffee Morning in our Tea Rooms at Butterfields between 10am and 12 noon and we invite you to join us.
Not only can you enjoy coffee and cake with our lovely team, there will be the opportunity to participate in our raffle, or even bag yourself an early Christmas gift or two, as on sale will be beautiful canvas photographs taken by David Butterfield himself (a keen photographer). All proceeds will go to Macmillan Cancer Support.
As you partake of your coffee and cake, you can chat to our staff...funeral directors David and Alan...celebrants Patricia and Joanne and even Father Barley from St Margaret's Parish Church, who tells us he is very partial to a slice of cake or two!!.
You may wish to step back in time and view the history of our family, as our vintage horse drawn carriage used by past generations of the Butterfield family is unveiled, a proud day for Brian Butterfield who has overseen the restoration project from start to finish.
This promises to be a lovely morning, whilst supporting a very worthy cause. Please come along, we look forward to seeing you.
David and all the team at Butterfields.
