Happy Retirement To Denis

We are saying farewell to one of our longest standing members of the Butterfields team. Denis who has loyally served the company for 16 years is taking his well earned retirement.

Having served under our past Managing Director Brian Butterfield and in more recent years David Butterfield - our current Managing Director and 5th generation of the family, Denis is a much loved and highly respected member of our team.

Having remained with us well past usual retirement age because he loved his job so much (Denis is 79) he is planning some well deserved leisure time with his lovely wife Anne, who is also part of our team as she is the receptionist at our Kimberworth branch.

During his 16 years with us Denis has carried out a number of duties within the company as a funeral operative, also due to his green fingers Denis has lovingly tended our tranquil memorial garden. Thanks to his talent as a gardener he has kept it looking pristine, something the people who remember their loved ones there, very much appreciate.

Denis’s dedication, care and professionalism with the clients and families we look after has been exemplary.

He is planning to travel and enjoy life and we wish his every happiness in the future.
