Our Easter Message To You

Easter was originally celebrated as a religious festival, and by some, still is, however, as the years have passed by it is now regarded by many families as a time to gather with loved ones and friends to enjoy the bank holiday and the arrival of springtime.

A time to take a break in the countryside or travel to the coast...a time for the giving of gifts...children and chocoholics alike, enjoying the eating of chocolate eggs.

A time to send Easter cards to those we don’t see very often, a time to plan Easter egg hunts for the little ones and watch the joy on their faces as they find what the Easter bunny has left them.

But Easter is also a time to remember lost loved ones no longer with us. We may cast our minds back to our own childhood and times spent with parents, grandparents and siblings…. or to the happy times spent with a partner or spouse.

This Easter time we at Butterfields will be thinking of those we have lost, but also spending precious time with those we love…(and yes, we will be eating Chocolate eggs too).
