Project Linus UK - Rotherham
Project Linus UK - Rotherham is a non-profit making, volunteer organisation, which aims to provide a sense of security and comfort to sick and traumatised children in Rotherham (babies to teenagers), through the provision of new handmade patchwork quilts, knitted and crochet blankets, and to contribute to the local community.
The quilts and blankets help to provide a distressed child going through a difficult time in their young life, tangible evidence that someone cares and the comfort of snuggling up in a quilt made especially for them.
Their volunteers meet regularly to bring their completed quilts, collect supplies for future projects, have a coffee and exchange design ideas, and anyone is welcome to join them or to see their work.
The volunteers freely donate their time and unique skills to create the quilts and blankets. It was our please here at Butterfields to be able to help out by giving a donation to their charity for them to be able to purchase much needed supplies.
