Rotherham Minster 2024

We were delighted to give our support to the concert held at Rotherham Minster on Thursday 5th of December by sponsoring an advert in the event programme.

The evening - organised by Hazel Yarlett and her band of volunteers, was a fundraiser for the charitable organisation The Feoffees of the Common Lands of Rotherham, whose work supports many local worthy causes.

In attendance were our own Doreen Butterfield and Jean Clark (nee Butterfield) who enjoyed a delightful evening being entertained by a host of very talented people which included Bramley Brass Band, the combined school choirs of Wickersley Northfield Primary School and Ravenfield Primary Academy, St Bede’s Catholic Primary School and St Mary’s Catholic Primary School’s.

Rotherham singing star Nicola Cutts performed a beautiful version of ‘When A Child is Born’ and actor/singer and well known local celebrity Dean Andrews showed his many talents in delivering both songs and readings along with a terrific performance from 16 year old Rotherham harpist Alejandro Barnett,

A packed Minster had a very festive spirit which was enjoyed by all. The organisers tell us they hope to make this an annual event, we certainly hope so! ❤️
