It is with great delight that we welcome a new face to our team here at Butterfields..…Steve Barron has joined us as a part time Funeral Service Operative, taking on duties as a bearer/driver with our fleet.

He brings with him a wealth of skills and experience from his previous positions. For over 22 years Steve served his Queen and Country in the Royal Navy, travelling all over the world in the process.

After his demob he spent 13 years with the Pontefract based company Refresco and now we are pleased he is joining our highly respected team here at Butterfields in Swinton.

When he’s not busy ensuring we deliver a five-star service to our clients, Steve can be found enjoying his spare time out walking his beloved dog Jett.

As a family-owned company for 151 years, family ties are very important to us, and Steve’s own family have a long association with our firm. His wife Diane is our Office Administrator, Steve’s brother Mark Barron is another of our full time Funeral Service Operatives, and his auntie Mary Frost heads up our catering team.

We wish Steve a long and happy career and are proud that he will become a valued member of this company.
